From my heart, I wish you Happy Holidays, with time to create memories, time with family and friends, time to reflect, and of course, time for relaxation and self-care during this beautiful season!
My biggest goal and gift to myself at this time of the year is self-care. This was a busy and intense year, with sad news and grief, caring for others, and healing. It was also a year with lots of time spent with family and friends, and amazing trips.
It is always so important to think about personal improvements and our own health at times where it is possible.

I Love Thanksgiving Dinner!
We have all transitioned into the Fall season, with darker but cozy evenings, beautiful leaves blowing, wearing sweaters, and jackets to keep us warm. This is also a season of richer, more warming foods and my favorite part: Thanksgiving!
Many fear the heavy traditional eating during this amazing holiday of being surrounded by family or friends. I love Thanksgiving Dinner and prepare all foods in a very healthy manner. Many of the foods served during our dinner have many health benefits, so let me list a few to make you all feel less guilty and give thanks for the health-boosting benefits of Thanksgiving Dinner.

Foods to Fall for
Just like juicy watermelon slices are made for summer and hearty soups are perfect for winter, there are certain dishes and ingredients that are intrinsically linked to fall.. Root vegetables like beets, citrus fruits, apples, and pears are all notable in autumn. Seasonal produce are so distinct this time of year that we should add them to our fall food list.
Dishes we should be preparing are warm, rich in flavor, and filling and perfect for baking, cooking or meal planning during a fall reset. Use some to get outside your typical cooking comfort zone or fill you up on a weekend at home during the fall. You just might discover a new autumn favorite.

Dietary Fiber: Essential for a Healthy Diet
Eat more fiber. You've probably heard it before. But do you know why fiber is so good for your health?

Summer is the Time to Recharge our Batteries
Happy Summer!!! Hopefully this newsletter finds you well in the midst of this glorious season. For me, even if my work schedule is busy, it is important during this time of the year to find a good balance. This is the best time to recharge our batteries, enjoy some sunshine and plenty of fresh air, eat locally organic produce, meet friends and be social, and simply use all that good energy to focus on our health and happiness.
Many of us take care of our loved ones; we support family members and friends during illness and crises. It is part of life.... Even more important to take our own wellbeing seriously!

Let's Start Living A Gluten-Free Life!
Since I became a Certified Gluten Free-Diet Practitioner in January 2022 with Dr. Tom O’Bryan, I have gained so much more understanding about Gluten. Please read the handout from the Mayo Clinic on a Gluten-free diet.
Years ago, I was unsure if it is really necessary to live a Gluten-free life if a person does not have Celiac. I personally choose a Gluten-free lifestyle and avoid it as much as possible.
